Such an easy & delicious cocktail to make to impress your guests! Make the Rosemary Simple Syrup ahead of time, as well as the Grilled Grapefruit! Even my friend who isn’t a fan of grapefruit juice LOVED this one! There is just something about the Rosemary and smoky Grilled Grapefruit that just transforms this recipe!

Three rocks glasses filled with ice and pink grapefruit juice. Garnished with a pink straw, a piece of grilled grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary. Sitting on a mossy green table

Rosemary Simple Syrup (makes about 8 cocktails)

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2-4 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary (Grow this in your medicinal garden for all your recipes!)

Combine equal parts water and sugar, along with the rosemary in a small saucepan. Bring to a slow boil to allow all of the sugar to dissolve. Seep for at least an hour. Remove sprigs when storing. Store in the fridge in a glass container. Should last about 7 days.

Grilled Grapefruit

Cut several pieces of fresh grapefruit into quarters, sprinkle lightly with sugar and grill outside or on the stove top. Garnish each cocktail with a grapefruit slice and the rosemary sprigs. The sweet grilled grapefruit tastes divine so be sure to make extra!

You can grill ahead of time and store in the fridge so they are on-the-ready!

Cocktail (makes 1 cocktail)

  • 2 oz. of Vodka or Gin (whichever you prefer, I’ve used both and they are both great!)
  • ½ Cup Pink Grapefruit Juice
  • ½ oz-1oz Rosemary Simple Syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)
  • Fresh Sprigs of Rosemary for garnish

Add ingredients to a rocks glass with ice and give it a mix.
